Terms of use

Last updated: August 1, 2026

These are the plain-language terms for using and buying Screen Dolly. By downloading or purchasing the app, you’re agreeing to them.

The trial

Screen Dolly comes with a 14-day free trial: the full app, no watermark, no payment details required. When the trial ends, your existing projects still open and you can always retrieve your raw recordings — recording new material and exporting require a license.

Purchases & refunds

Orders are processed by Stripe and its Link checkout, our merchant of record — they handle payment, taxes, and receipts, and Link’s terms (linked on the checkout page) apply to the transaction itself. The charge appears on your statement as coming from Link. If something isn’t working for you, email support@screendolly.com and we’ll make it right.

What you record is yours

Everything you capture and export with Screen Dolly belongs to you. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to record what you record — for example, other people’s content, meetings, or copyrighted material.

The usual disclaimers

Screen Dolly is provided “as is.” We work hard to make it reliable, but we can’t promise it will be free of bugs or fit for every purpose, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can’t be waived.

Changes

If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Changes won’t take away a license you’ve already bought.
